The new apartment is closer to downtown tuned in Graveley Street, near 1st Avenue. The environment is very friendly and nice. Only two minutes from "The Drive" - the Commercial Drive is a very busy street with many cafes, bars and small shops, such as Norman's Fruit & Salad , our grocery store. Currently we have the apartment still all to ourselves, then, is the other room is not rented out. This is really nice, because would like to work after 12 hours you simply have his peace and does not have to wait in the kitchen. Hopefully there is still a while ...

Update on the Christmas market:
It is madness, the Canadians are scary at all that is German and has to do with Christmas. Whether mulled wine or nutcracker, everything is bought, no matter at what price. We have some in front of our tent Käthe Wohlfahrt line ups, so Queues of up to 90 minutes and the people shall continue to be good ... to when they buy something again to wait at the checkout. The German celebrities bought from us, came one day Katerina Jacob, known by the cops of Tölz, to Hannes' fund.
The staff is really cool, there are German, Canadian, and represented Ireland and all really nice. We have already learned a lot and many helpful hints on getting work and travel in Canada.

The world is really small, that was before yesterday again. Because Hannah has a Canadian at the Christmas market (the man of Tilo Geissler's cousin) met, with whom he has had a chance to talk in Germany. That's Weird!
Here everybody has to pay admission to enter the market and now the real hammer, everyone gets a ribbon and there are alcoholic beverages stamped. Yes, and after three, then even circuit. But there are at least even German beer, Paulaner. Who

On Christmas day people go to church here and on that day there will be Christmas dinner. Since there are traditional in America Turkey (Turkey) and mash with "brussels sprouts" (Brussels sprouts) and other vegetables and salads and sweet desserts such as cookies and muffins. In Canada, Christmas is not just a clean family festival, often are neighbors, colleagues and friends invited and can bring their friends too.
In Canada no Santa Claus comes on 6 December, which does not exist here. But here are held often cookie-exchange party, it brings everyone's favorite cookies to a party with and then is feasted and exchanged.
in the shops is also long been the holiday shopping season under way and there are all sorts of things such as Lebkuchen (ginger bread), chocolate Santa Clauses (a German copy for $ 10 at the Christmas market today) and, of course, candy canes, you see everywhere here. The Christmas calendars have 25 doors stop here, instead of 24 as we are accustomed.
On 26 December is not eaten here but contemplative shopped. Indeed, it is boxing day, as it is in the shops reduces everything scary and you can argue about the best product, because all are on their way to a bargain to make.
